Women Over 40 Are Canceling Their Laser Appointments. This Is What They're Using Instead.
A $700 toxin appointment wears off in three months. A resurfacing session runs past $1,500. So a growing number of women in their 40s, 50s and 60s quietly started doing something else at bedtime — and posting the photos.

Here is the arithmetic nobody at the clinic writes down for you.
A toxin appointment is roughly $700, and it fades in about three months. That's four visits a year if you want to stay ahead of it. Resurfacing sessions start around $1,500 and take the top layer of your skin with them. And filler — the one everyone reaches for when the under-eyes go hollow — has its own reputation now. Ask around and you'll find women who say theirs migrated, and that they look more tired than before they started.
None of that is an argument that those procedures don't work. It's an argument that a lot of women past 40 are no longer willing to spend that money, on that schedule, for a result that expires.
"I was one appointment away from spending $1,500 to have the first layer of my face burned off. I cancelled it."
— Maria Rodriguez
Not influencers. Women with actual wrinkles.
What changed wasn't a marketing campaign. It was that women in their 40s, 50s and 60s — the ones with real lines, real jowls, real hollow under-eyes — started posting their own before-and-afters, and started naming what they were using in the order they were using it.
The name that kept surfacing was a five-step Korean protocol built on a patented calcium technology called REBORNIC™. Not one hero cream. Five products, each assigned to one specific concern, used in one specific order.
That last part is the part everyone skips, and it's the part that matters. Step one opens the door. The four steps after it walk through it.
The five steps, in the order they're meant to be used
1
Step 1 · Spicule Serum
Texture · Enlarged-looking pores · Scarring
Pink Spicule Renewal Serum
Vitamin B12 · 1.01 fl oz · Use first, on clean skin
Thousands of microscopic plant-derived spicules suspended in a pink serum. You'll feel a light tingle as you massage it in — that's the texture of the spicules working across the surface. It's the step that leaves skin feeling refined and looking smoother, and it preps everything that follows so the next four steps aren't just sitting on top of your face.
How they use itMassage a thin layer over the whole face. Always first. Skip it and the other four work harder for less.
2
Step 2 · Tone Serum
Dark spots · Sun damage · Uneven tone
Picotonic Tone-Correcting Serum
REBORNIC™ niacinamide complex · Use second
This is the brightening step, and it's the one women with years of sun on their skin report noticing first. Formulated to visibly fade the look of accumulated dark spots and even out the appearance of overall tone — so the difference shows up not just on the spots themselves, but in how uniform the whole face looks in daylight.
How they use itA few drops, pressed over the areas where discoloration shows most. Follow with SPF every morning.
3
Step 3 · Firming Cream
Sagging · Jowls · Loose-looking neck
Calcium Volume Firming Cream
REBORNIC™ 10,000ppm · Hydrolyzed elastin · 1.76 oz
The firming step, and the reason the words "I woke up tight" keep appearing in the reviews. Ten thousand parts per million of patented REBORNIC™ calcium with hydrolyzed elastin, in a cream dense enough that a pea-sized amount covers face and neck. Used nightly, it's the step credited with the most visible change along the jawline.
How they use itTiny amount, forehead down to the neck, before bed. The pro move: warm it in your hands and work it in with a gua sha.
The step that made this set go viral, and the one women describe as the most dramatic. Gold hydrogel patches loaded with the same 10,000ppm REBORNIC™ calcium complex, designed to leave the under-eye area looking plumper, brighter and less hollow. The women getting the biggest results don't stop at the under-eyes — they're placing them on crow's feet, forehead lines, and the nasolabial folds.
How they use itKeep the jar in the fridge. Apply at night, leave on 30 minutes or sleep in them. Two weeks is the mark most people quote.
5
Step 5 · Balm Stick
Vertical lip lines · Smile lines · Thinning areas
Calcium Volume Multi Balm Stick
Collagen extract · 0.31 oz / 9g · Seals the routine
A solid balm in a twist-up stick, made for the places a cream can't sit precisely enough. Women call it the fix for the fine vertical lines above the lip — the ones that show up in photos and don't come from smoking. Buttered over the area, it leaves those lines looking softened and the skin around them looking fuller. It's also the last step, sealing everything underneath it in overnight.
How they use itSwipe directly onto lip lines, smile lines, elevens, crow's feet, under-eyes. Last, over everything else.
Most creams that list an impressive-sounding active include a trace of it. The concentration is the whole argument here.
10,000ppm REBORNIC™ in the cream & patches
3 of 5steps built on the same patented complex
1system, formulated to work in sequence
REBORNIC™ is a patented calcium technology paired with hydrolyzed elastin, developed for Korean skincare and not available in most Western formulations. It runs through the firming cream, the eye patches and the balm stick — which is why the five steps read as one protocol rather than five products that happen to be in a box together.

"A facial specialist's take"
This line of product helps with hyper pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles. I am a Facial specialist and I do micro needling on a daily basis on clients. Take it from me, Dr. Melaxin calcium is literally micro-needling in a bottle. Totally recommend.

"My turkey neck, week by week"
Excellent line! Dr. Melaxin killed it with this particular product line for me. I am including before, and after pictures for several weeks, I have been doing this routine, following the steps exactly as I’m supposed to, and I have seen huge improvement in my Turkey neck and skin!

"Visible in two weeks"
I love how my skin feels. I have been using this for about 2 weeks, and there is a visible difference. My skin feels so soft. My only complaint is that I would not use it during the day because it leaves a very oily feeling. I bought it again, but this time I got lucky with an 8 steps bundle!!!!

The Writer's RecommendationWhat I'd do if I were starting this week
I've written about enough of these to be suspicious of five-product sets. Most are four filler products wrapped around one that works. This one earned the write-up for a specific reason: three of the five steps run on the same patented complex at the same concentration, which is what makes the sequence mean something.
Buy the complete set, not one piece of it. The single most common complaint I found was from women who bought only the cream, saw less than they expected, and blamed the cream. The spicule serum is what makes the four steps after it land.
Do all five in order, every night, for two full weeks before you judge it. Two weeks is the point where the under-eye change starts showing in photographs. Tone takes four to six.
Keep the patch jar in the refrigerator. Cold patches sit better, stay put overnight, and every woman I found with a dramatic under-eye result mentioned doing this.
Don't stop at the under-eyes with the patches or the balm stick. Crow's feet, forehead, nasolabial folds, neck. Sixty patches is enough to treat more than one area.
Order while the discount holds. This has gone out of stock repeatedly. If you're going to try it, the version of this decision that costs the least is the one you make today.
"If the whole thing does nothing for you, you have 180 days to send it back. That's a smaller risk than a $700 appointment you can't return." — choi youn ho
Use all five steps, in order, for six months. If your skin doesn't look firmer, brighter and smoother to you, write to us and we'll refund you — even if the jars are empty. That's the entire policy.
Questions women ask before ordering
Does the order really matter?
Yes, and it's the most common mistake. The spicule serum goes first because it refines the surface and helps everything after it absorb properly. Tone-correcting serum second, firming cream third, patches fourth, balm stick last to seal. Out of order, you're paying for five products and getting the benefit of two.
I'm in my 40s — is it too early? I'm in my 60s — is it too late?
Neither. Women in their early 40s tend to use it for texture, tone and prevention along the jaw. Women in their 50s and 60s — where the strongest response comes from — use it for sagging, hollow under-eyes and accumulated dark spots. Same five steps, same order; the concern that improves first is just different.
How long before I see anything?
Most people describe a tighter, smoother feel after the first few nights of the firming cream and patches. Visible change in the under-eye area is most commonly reported around the two-week mark. Tone and dark spots take longer — give it four to six weeks. Results vary from person to person.
Will the spicule serum irritate my skin?
You'll feel a tingle — that's normal and expected with spicules. If you have sensitive or reactive skin, start with it two or three nights a week and build up. Do a patch test on your inner arm first if you're unsure, and stop if you get persistent redness or discomfort.
Can I use this with retinol or my prescription?
Don't layer the spicule serum on the same night as a prescription retinoid or acid exfoliant — alternate nights instead. If you're using anything prescribed by a dermatologist, check with them before adding a new routine.
Can I put the patches anywhere besides my under-eyes?
That's what the women getting the biggest results do. Crow's feet, forehead lines, the nasolabial folds, and along the neck. Sixty patches in the jar gives you room to treat more than one area at a time.
What if it doesn't work for me?
You have 180 days to return it for a full refund, used or not. No photos, no forms, no argument.
One decision
You can book the appointment, pay the $700, and put a reminder in your calendar for three months from now. Or you can spend a fraction of that once, do five steps before bed, and see what your face looks like in two weeks.
The women posting their photos already made that call. The set has sold out repeatedly since — which is the only reason there's a discount on it right now, and the reason there's a limit to how long it stays up.
